Adriana walks into the office to find Aden unwrapping a package. The card from the package seems to be from Ione
as it is addressed to King Chandler and when they open it, they discover a beautiful, ornate box. Aden and Adriana are
unsure what to do with the strange gift. After some debate, they decide the box can be used to hold his toys.
When Aden opens the box to load in some toys, however, two streaks of lightning lash out. Grabbing onto him like ropes,
they pull him toward the box. Adriana reaches out, grabbing hold of Aden's shirt. He shouts at her, ordering her
to let go, but she refuses. Together, the two of them are drawn into the depths of the seemingly bottomless box.
The two of them land in a strange corridor, filled with hauntingly childish images, painted on the walls. Among
the drawings is an image of a large humanoid standing at the top of a chute. At the bottom of the chute are several
smaller humanoids, holding their hands up in reverence. Aden wonders if the scene could be depicting their descent into
the strange chamber. As they wonder at the little figures on the wall, two young girls of two undentifiable races appear.
They spot Aden and Adriana and immediately become excited, calling them the "biguns" and the "promised ones." The girls,
who are named Ruby and Poppy, guide Aden and Adriana deeper into the fortress to meet their leader, called the Onestoff.
The fortress is filled with dozens of children, no two of the same species. There appears to be no one older than
fifteen, a fact confirmed when they meet the Onestoff, a young boy named Gerentex. Gerentex explains that there is no
one older than him and therefore, he is the leader. He has Poppy and Ruby reenact the legends of the box. Through
the little scenes, Aden and Adriana learn that the children of the monarchies for all the realms the Ebene conquered were
captured and locked away in the box. Rather than dying, however, they found ways to survive, living with the promise
that one day, the Biguns would come to rescue them so they could have their revenge on the Ebene. Adriana realizes that
the Ebene sent the box, not Ione, in the hopes of capturing Chandler.
Gerentex is eager for Aden and Adriana to lead his people to their revenge. Although they are eager to rescue the
kids, Aden is very hesitant to take them all at once. Gerentex agrees that they can leave with his finest warrior.
Adriana doesn't see how they'll escape when the kids haven't been able to, but Aden points out most of the kids are too young
to have developed powers. Adriana, however, is a fully grown Hylian with all of her powers. She teleports herself
out of the box and rings Quinn's bell, summoning him and asking him to fetch Aden. Quinn slips into the darkness of
the box and returns shortly after with Aden and Gerentex's finest warrior, a fierce twelve-year-old named Marduck.
Adriana and Aden debate what to do with Marduck and the other children while Marduck runs off. Adriana is horribly
shaken, realizing that it could have been Chandler who grew up in that horrible box. After weighing their options, they
agree to give the box to Ione and allow him to shelter the children. Unfortunately, their plans are interrupted by screaming
coming from the courtyard. They race out to find Marduck savagely attacking Ariadne and another Andorian named Nadra.
When they try to stop him, he screams that they're both Ebene. They realize that Marduck associates the color green
with Ebene, but doesn't actually know what the Ebene look like, having no one to raise and educate him about them in his box
prison. They agree to send him and his fellows to Ione.
